Educational Complex School No. 42 "Our School is Our Native House, Clean and Beautiful Inside"

Project: Make The Environment Green Together "Our School is Our Native House, Clean and Beautiful Inside"

Project creators: Educational Complex, School No. 42, projector coordinator Lidiya Pidlyzhna.

Goal: To increase environmental awareness of the staff of Educational Complex, School No. 42, the parents whose children are attending the school, and senior students, during April-May 2009.

Objectives: Forming environmental knowledge and understanding of nature and the ability to see and feel the beauty, the inclusion of all possible environmental-oriented activities, training for the humane treatment of nature.

Target audience: School children, their parents, and the staff of Educational Complex, School No. 42. 

Summary: The "Our School is our Native House, Clean and Beautiful Inside" project it was conducted at Educational Complex, School No. 42during April-May 2009. The implementation involved 162 volunteers, including staff members, students and their parents. During the project they conducted an excursion "Environment Through the Eyes of Children," an environmental training for school staff and parents "Present Well-being and Beauty to Our Children" and completed the action "Grass, Grass, Become Green. Sun Smile on Our Children." At the end of April volunteers planted trees at Educational Complex, School No. 42, and in May, pupils planted flowers. Project participants learned to work together in a team to complete a project. The project had financial support from the United States Peace Corps.
